An exquisite diamond ring from the Early Victorian (ca1850s) era! This mixed metals piece adorns three sparkling diamonds that?rest vertically along the front.?The old Mine Cut?stones, which are substantial in size, each rest in a bezel setting, flanked by a stunning diamond-encrusted design. The beautiful open wirework creates delicate, flowing cut-outs, graced with accent diamonds that extend onto the shoulders. Collectively, all of the sparkling diamonds weigh approximately 1.60ctw, catching the light beautifully with every turn. The?sterling silver centerpiece rests on a 15kt gold setting, with?graduating shoulders that reveal a?yellow gold band that wraps around the back. Stamped inside of the shank is a maker's mark beside another hallmark, possibly of the Austro-Hungarian lion head. A stunning early Victorian?piece, this ring makes a fabulous statement when worn, perfect?for a special occasion!?
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size 7.5,?but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece measures a?little more than 5/8" tall,?about 1/2" wide, and rests 1/8" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide?at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold and sterling silver setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.?The ring reveals a distinct darkened patina, which is common given the age of the piece and?showcases the diamonds perfectly, however, the patina could be polished off, if desired.?
